DEITIES OF ASTROLOGY
       Lord Shiva represents Akash thathwa. Goddess Parvathi represents Prithvi thathwa. Lord Muruga took birth directly from the Jyothi came out from the third eye of Lord Shiva. Therefore Lord Muruga also represents Akash thathwa. Lord Ganesh was created by Parvathy out of mud. Therefore Lord Ganesh also represents Prithvi thathwa.
      Sage Narada brought a fruit of Knowledge and offered it to Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva wanted to give it his children. A competition was held. The children of Lord Shiva should go around the world and reach the starting place. Whoever comes first, he will get the fruit. This was the condition for the competition.
      The children of Lord Shiva started their journey. Lord Muruga mounted on his Peacock vehicle, and started flying.  Lord Ganesh mounted on his Rat vehicle, went around his parents and declared that he has completed his journey. He claimed that parents are only the world. Lord Muruga reached little late. The fruit was given to Lord Ganesh. Lord muruga got angry and left the place.
       Lord Shiva and Lord Muruga both represents Anda thathwa. Goddess Parvathi and Lord Ganesh both represents Pinda thathwa.
Anda and Pinda both are same. Lord Muruga went around the Anda. Lord Ganesh went around the Pinda. Therefore both are equally knowledgeable.
     The presiding deities for Astrology are Lord Ganesh And Lord Muruga.
An Astrologer who has the grace of Lord Muruga will be an expert in Astronomy and Astrology.
     An Astrologer who has the grace of Lord Ganesh will be expert in Sakuna and Nimitta shastra, Hasta Rekha shastra,Samudrika Lakshana shastra, Vastu shastra,Koopa shastra.
